The FIELD • MAR viSTA

A friend and client of mine Pete, owner of Uprise MMA in Mar Vista, also owns and operated a bar called the Art Bar. It was decided that the concept was going to change for the establishment and he wanted to make it into a sports bar called “The Field.

I am so grateful that Pete looked to me to help him craft the look and feel of the new space. It’s not often I do this much different work for the same client. He wanted to create an all new look and feel for the place, and basically needed ideas to cover lots of space.

A few murals were always going to be a part of the vibe, considering that is a lot of what I do. But there were things like a bar was needed, as well as an idea for the front room.

The budget was kind of tight as well considering all that needed to be done, so I had to come up with ideas that could be good and not break the bank.

Overall we created a real vibe to the space, a great local hang with a vintage sports feel. I really enjoy hanging there and watching games or fights. And it's a good local crowd.
