MAR VISTA FARMERS MARKET STREET MURAL
Client: Mar Vista Farmers Market
Project : Create a mural in the street to test experimental city program of art on actual street intersections.
Description : This project was a beautiful process because of the team involved and the result was stunning. For a few months. Then it was destroyed by weather. In fact, there was a lot I learned from this project, and despite our best efforts to prep the surface as well as seal it afterwards, we could not get the mural to stay as long as we would have liked. It’s still there, but barely.
The team gave it the best effort we could, even went back and touched it up after a few weeks and re-sealed it, but it just wasn’t enough. At least it lives in our hearts and in photos. Thanks so much to Lenore, Mitch, Keely, Lizzie, Ryan, Phil, Justin, Monique, Alex, and the rest of the team.
