Citi Sponsors the epic foodie event called Taste of a Nation every year in cities across the US. As part of their continuous support of the #NOKIDHUNGRY charity. In order to motivate the event goers to share a photo of their delicious snacks on social media, Citi will give 75 Meals for each social share using the appropriate hastags. Publicis approach myself and Tool to create unique photo boxes to give fans a creative way to jazz up their food pictures. We created 6 "Photo Beautifiers"
Our inspiration and creative direction we brought to the idea was the use of reflection. We wanted to use mirrored surfaces to literally multiply the food before your eyes. Each Photo Beautifier was a different geometric volume, and contained a unique reflective pattern. They were elegant little objects, which people took notice, and enjoyed using to create their own unique photos.
At each TOTN event, we also installed a digital Art Gallery, where a live feed of the nights event was pulled from all the social hashtags. People had a chance to see their photo large in a frame, and also keep up with the live meal donations count interstitial that ran throughout the night.
